The Dynamic Duo
Gwoeyn Devera is a rising DJ based out of the San Francisco Bay Area representing the AfterAfterHours crew. She's best known for her work within the dance community throughout the last seven years including resident DJ for Soulful Sessions (SF) and Textures (Oakland), with multiple appearances at MVMNT house sessions (Berkeley), Rhythm&Groov (Groovmekanex), and Rebearth (SF). A dancer's DJ, she's emerging onto the club scene spinning deep soulful house. She has opened for Jayvi Velasco (AfterAfterHours), Cali and Cecil (thePEOPLE), Waajeed (Dirt Tech Reck / UMA) and Mark de Clive-Lowe (Mashi Beats).
Eric Carter Chu (blksoap) is an Afro-Asian educator, DJ, community event organizer, and former KTUH radio host. He has been a resident DJ for Open House dance session since 2015, and is the co-founder of Soul Source, largely considered the best dance party in Los Angeles today. Aside from LA, blksoap has resided in Hawaii, Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea, and he currently teaches high school in the Bay Area while also hosting a monthly freestyle dance session titled- “Textures.” He has a signature soulful and deep sound that echoes the diversity of his lived experiences.
